Baptism for Children 0-6 Years of Age
(Children over the age of 6, contact the parish office)
Call the Parish Office and inquire about the baptism process AT LEAST 6 MONTHS PRIOR to the date you would like to have your child baptized.
What is the Sacrament of Baptism?
Baptism is a rite of initation into the Catholic Church, a welcoming of your child into the Christian family. Through Baptism we receive the grace of God and become initiated in the Church's Mission.
When are children baptized here at St. Francis Parish?
In order that we, as a community, can properly welcome your child into the Christian family, it is customary at S. Francis to baptize children during the 10:30 am Mass on the second Sunday of the month. (Choices outside of Mass are; 3:00pm Saturday, 9:30am Sunday & 4:00pm Sunday)
4. Completion of Pre-Baptismal Classes.
Both parents and godparents must attend these classes. The purpose of these classes is to gain a fuller appreciation of the sacrament of Baptism and what it means to raise a child in the Catholic faith. (Baptismal Class Schedule)
5. Meet with priest to schedule date for Sacrament of Baptism.

6. Celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism
Will take place upon completion of the prebaptsimal classes, receipt of the godparent's forms, and scheduled date of baptism from priest.
