Ascending to 14,410 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier stands as an icon in the Washington landscape. An active volcano, Mount Rainier is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S.A., spawning six major rivers. Sub-alpine wildflower meadows ring the icy volcano while ancient forest cloaks Mount Rainier's lower slopes. Wildlife abounds in the park's ecosystems. A lifetime of discovery awaits. Day 1: Easy Hike: Grove of the Patriarchs, 1.5 miles through a virgin forest of ancient Douglas-firs, western hemlocks and red cedars. Day 2: Naches Peak Loop, 3.5 miles, some ups and downs, but we will take our time. Explore the sub-alpine flower fields and breathtaking views of Mount Rainier. Day 3: Hike the Nisqually Vista trail, 1.2 miles. Walk amidst the clouds and see how weather shapes the landscape, plants, and animals of these high-country meadows.
On this spiritual pilgrimage we will experience nature at her finest and discover spiritual practices that speak to us, such as walking meditation, beholding beauty, journaling, sitting quietly in nature, and deep listening.
Enjoy excellent views of Mount Rainier and the Nisqually Glacier.
