A vibrant, earthy, passionate way of prayer grew up in the early centuries of Christian experience in the British Isles. Drawing on both biblical wisdom as well as the deep wells of pre-Christian consciousness, the prayer of these Celtic Christians expressed awe at the indwelling of God in the sacred creation, the company of Christ and the saints in daily life, the heroic quest, the dynamic tension between solitude and community, the nearness of the Holy especially at "thin places", and faithful life as a ceaseless pilgrimage. Through story, conversation, and guided prayer these themes in the participants' lives will be revealed.
