As part of responsible parish stewardship, Church law mandates that every Catholic parish
must have an Administrative-Finance Council “to assist the pastor in the administration of
the goods of the parish” (cf. CIC 537). While the Pastoral Council deals with matters pertaining
to pastoral needs, the Admin-Finance Council, in collaboration with the pastor, is responsible for the resources of the parish which includes money, property and, to a certain extent, personnel. Members are appointed by the pastor to a renewable term of service.

The parish business manager is an ex-officio member.
