    Greeters Ministry
St. Francis is beginning a Ministry of Greeters to augment the work of the Ushers.  The Ministry of Greeters is a simple ministry which requires no more than a friendly word and a smiling face. Everyone likes to feel welcome. This is your opportunity to work with the Ushers to welcome your fellow parishioners as you would welcome Christ. You can make a difference to those who enter the church to attend Mass.   As Greeters we represent Christ. We are reminded in Corinthians 3:17 that “We are Christ’s ambassadors.”

The goal of the Greeter is the goal of the people of St. Francis:

    • To help newcomers feel welcomed and at ease
    • To let long-time parishioners know they are needed and loved
    • To make people want to return week after week & become integrated into the life of the parish

    How do we achieve this?

    • With smiling faces and friendly words
    • By making eye contact
    • By inviting those who enter the church for Mass to join us for coffee and donuts
    • By answering questions and helping people find what they need

Please consider joining us in this ministry of hospitality!
