The middle school years are a pivotal time of change for our young teens. They are going through many changes as they begin to question their place in this world -- and specifically, their intrinsic purpose as a creation of God.
Middle school youth group has a tad bit different layout in its function than a typical "classroom". Meetings are active and engaging with adult leaders as mentors who lead discussion and build relationships in faith. These are moments of learning about who God is and how active He is in the lives of each one of us.
During a normal youth group year, there would be opportunities of service in our parish family and for the greater community. Serving others is an essential element in living out one's purpose in life. Giving your teen these opportunities will set good habits in their adult life as they continue to strive for a life of virtue. Although, with COVID restrictions and safety concerns, we will have to play this piece of youth group by ear.
Although we will gather regularly for middle school youth group, the activities and outings may vary with opportunities that arise (also, depending on COVID). So, please make sure that you check your email for opportunities for your teen as these will be emailed out as they arise.
Meeting times for middle school youth group will be on Sundays from 3:45pm-5:15pm. Kick-off will be on September 26th! Hope to see you there!
Please know that COVID safety protocol will be in place.
